Falling Plate Match
The PHA falling Plate Match is held on the 1st Saturday of every month at 9:00 am under the direction of Austin Cooper and Dan Jones. This match is not held in rain, snow, or temperatures below 30°F.
The entry fees are $10 for the first gun fired and $5 for each additional gun entered by the same competitor.

The Five-Stand Shotgun Range is open every Saturday from 9:00 am (starting times may vary during the winter months - check the website calendar for starting times) until noon for Five Stand and Wobble trap. The Shotgun Range will not be open on days when the high temperature is forecasted to be lower than 40 degrees. No shot larger than 7 ½ is allowed. Rifles and pistols are not to be fired in the shotgun area.

The PHA Monthly Membership Meeting is held on the 2nd Thursday of each month, except December at the Ocean View Seafood Restaurant in Lexington just south of I 85 on NC 8., the address is 1803 Cotton Grove Rd, Lexington, NC 27292. Everyone is invited to arrive about 6:00 p.m. for dinner and the business meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. Meeting attendance is a great way to get involved, stay informed, and meet other members. Prospective members are required to attend at least one monthly meeting as part of the initiation process. Membership applications can be downloaded from the website and completed before attendance.

The PHA Tactical Match is held on the 2nd Saturday of every month unless the weather forecast is 40 degrees or less, or Heavy rain. We will be shooting ALPhAS style matches that are designed to be fast shooting, up close, and fun.Match Fees

Saturday Morning .22 Rimfire Fun Match
This match is held on the Second Saturday, March - November, starting at 9:00 am. This match is not held on days when the high temperature forecast is below 40°.

The matches will not be held on days when the forecast temperature is below 40 degrees or raining.

The match starts at 9 am. The Safety briefing is at 8:50 am.
The Match fee is $5 per gun fired. Any .22 long rifle rimfire gun can be used. Targets are reactive steel. Classes are iron and optical sighted rifles and iron and optical sighted pistols.
Shooters will fire from standing and bench rest positions. Ranges are 25- and 40-yards for rifles and 15- and 25-yards for pistols. The course of fire is 10 shots in 60 seconds from 8 different positions for a total of 80 shots per match.

2021 .22 Benchrest Matches
There are two matches held each month. The matches are held at the .22 Range.
The 1st match is the Saturday Morning Benchrest match and is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month. This match starts on March 20 and ends on October 16.
The 2nd match is the Ron Gearren .22 Shoot and is held on the 1st Thursday after the Saturday match. This match starts on March 25 and ends on October 21.

The Buffalo Shoot takes place on the 3rd and 5th Sunday of each month. Main gate will open at 8 am. Registration is at 9 am. Match will begin at 10 am.

PHA Shotgun is not a competition, just friendly, fun, recreational shooting.Rounds of 25 targets are $4 for members and $5 for non-members.
A Lincoln manual doubles trap thrower is available for members to use with their own targets on days when the shotgun range isn’t operating.
We are currently looking for members to run the Five Stand Shotgun on the 3rd, 4th and 5th Saturdays and the 1st and 2nd Sunday each month. If you are interested, please contact the Match Director listed below. - March 25, 2021

PHA Defensive Pistol Match
The match is held every 4th Saturday of the month. Match fees are $10. ROs shoot for free. The match is open to anyone wishing to practice use of a pistol in a dynamic shooting environment. Competitors are expected to be knowledgeable in manipulating their firearm and practice good firearm safety. The match is open to beginners. The match consists of 5 stages with a mix of paper and steel targets, with barricades and fault lines. There will be moving and shooting. Competitors will be expected to engage targets using defensive strategies such as; “near-to-far”, slicing/pie a corner, and using cover. Scoring is raw time plus points/penalties. We will engage targets from 1 to 25 yards. Scoring is like IDPA but with fewer rules/restrictions on equipment. Required equipment is a conventional pistol (No AR-15 Pistols) a proper holster that protects the trigger guard, a belt, spare magazines (magazine retention is recommended) and 100-150 rounds of ammo. Eye and ear protection are mandatory for all competitors and spectators. This match is held on a cold range. No guns may be out of holsters or in hands unless in a designated safe zone or when called to the line as the shooter by the RO. No ammo may be in the gun at any time until given the command by the RO. Use of your daily carry gun is strongly encouraged. Please clear your carry gun of all ammo before coming to the range if you choose to use that gun.
Shooters will be grouped into the following categories:
SSP - Stock Service Pistol. Any factory purchased pistol and a barrel of 4” or more.
CCP - Compact Carry Pistol. Any stock pistol with a barrel of less than 4”
Revolver - Centerfire revolvers of any kind.
Rimfire - Any rimfire pistol.
Open - Any pistol modified with a red dot, flared mag-well, compensator, or race-gun type holster rig.Schedule:

Air Gun Field Target MatchThis match is held on the first Saturday of the month. Sight-in will be at 8 am at the .22 range. The .22 range will be closed to firearms from 8 am to 9 am. The safety meeting will start at 8:45 am and then will move to the Field Target range.The course is set up for .177 caliber air guns. There are 15 lanes with 2 targets per lane, and 2 shots per target. Targets are randomly set between 10 and 50 yards. Hole kill sizes are between 3/8" and 1 1/2" depending on distance. The Troyer difficulty rating is a 34 not counting wind and elevation etc. There will be 2 shooters per lane.
