Ron Gearren .22 Shoot

2021 .22 Benchrest Matches
There are two matches held each month. The matches are held at the .22 Range.
The 1st match is the Saturday Morning Benchrest match and is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month. This match starts on March 20 and ends on October 16.
The 2nd match is the Ron Gearren .22 Shoot and is held on the 1st Thursday after the Saturday match. This match starts on March 25 and ends on October 21.
The exact dates for these matches will be posted on the PHA website in the Events Calendar tab.
The matches will not be held on days when the forecast temperature is below 40 degrees or raining.
Please check the calendar on the PHA web page that will indicate whether a match has been cancelled.
These are fun matches and are not affiliated with any BR organization.
Each match will start at 8 am.
The Safety briefing will start at 7:50 am. Do not be late.
The match fee for each match is $5 for the first gun and $2 for the second gun. Any .22 long rifle can be used. Targets are paper.
The following classifications are used for our matches:
- Factory Class (off the shelf rifle).
This class is divided into Factory light and factory heavy depending on the stock and barrel, using the American Rimfire Association Factory Class target at 50 yards. Scope power will be 12X or less. - Open Sight Class (Blade or Peep)
50 yards using the NRA A-23 paper target. - Sporting Class
50 yards using the IBS target. Scope power not restricted. - Match Rifle Class
50 yards using the IBS target. Scope power not restricted. - Open Class
80 yards using the American Rimfire Association targets. Open to Match, Sporter, or Factory Class. Scope power not restricted.
Match Directors have the final say on any rifle classification.
